History, routes and tours of the island to discover the caves: cycle of initiatives curated by Renato Esposito

Between walks, paths, history, a dip in the past but also a look at the present. Prof. Renato Esposito, expert in the history of Capri, writer and curator of cultural initiatives, participates this year in first person at the events of “That’s Amore Capri”.

“My participation – he explains – aims to contribute, through events with a strong cultural appeal, to lengthen the tourist season in periods such as spring and autumn, until Christmas, when the island with its colors and its atmosphere breathes its true essence”.

The cycle of events began on 8 May with the sold out at the Capannina Wine Bar that hosted “Antichi Sapori Capresi”, the miracle of cod, tasting between history, literature and food, which saw Renato Esposito talking with Antonio De Angelis and Francesco De Angelis.

Saturday 25 May (meeting at 5 pm) appointment with “The history of caves and fantastic caves of Capri”, tour of the island at sunset reserved for sixty people.

The cycle will then resume in autumn, Sunday 20 October, with another round of the island at sunset, landings and departures, along with the history of the caves of Capri.

Also in October, in Anacapri, space for current issues with a meeting on feminicides and the fight against gender violence.

November and December will be the months dedicated to “The colors of autumn caprese” with a series of cultural walks starting at 10 am.

Sunday 10 November: Piazzetta, Via Camerelle, Via Tuoro. piazzetta delle Noci, Matermania.

Sunday 24 November: Anacapri, Piccolo Parnaso, Piazza San Nicola, Boffe and the literary villas.

Sunday 1 December: Via Krupp and the History of the Little Marina

Sunday 15 December: Villa San Michele and the Scala Fenicia.
