On August 8, Capri will host a special evening dedicated to the island’s history, culture and authentic flavours, through a journey that invites visitors to rediscover its most genuine essence.
“Sirene Lunari alla Piccola Marina” is an event that brings together landscapes, stories and traditions. As part of the That’s Amore Capri festival, the walk along Via Krupp will be guided by Professor Renato Esposito.
The evening will begin at 7:30 pm from Capri’s Piazzetta, where participants will set off on a walk to discover Via Krupp, the famous panoramic pathway carved into the rock that connects the Gardens of Augustus with Marina Piccola. A true masterpiece of engineering and landscape, it was created in the early 20th century at the request of German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp, who wanted a direct connection between his residence and the harbour of Marina Piccola.
During the walk, Professor Renato Esposito will share the history, curiosities and hidden stories of this extraordinary corner of the island, where the power of nature meets human ingenuity.
At 9:00 pm, the evening will continue at Da Gregorio Restaurant, in the enchanting setting of Marina Piccola, with a dinner dedicated to Cucina Mulese: a journey through the flavours and culinary memories of the local tradition, discovering recipes and customs that preserve the identity of Capri’s cuisine.
