Beaches

The beach of Marina grande is perhaps the easiest to reach and therefore much more suitable for families with children. Although it is on one side of the port, it has among the cleanest and crystal clear waters, being right in front of the gulf of Naples and therefore more subject to currents. Reachable by funicular, the bus service runs every 15 minutes or on foot, it also has a disabled access. The sun shines all day until 18 from June to mid-September, then the days will tend to shorten.

Always on the same side of Marina Grande is this small beach like a small bay. Also this perfect for children for the shallow and crystal clear waters. Reachable by boat, with the service of the establishment of Bagni di Tiberio to the side of the ticket offices at the port, or on foot, after the church of San Costanzo di Marina Grande, taking the path where you can also find the famous restaurant Da Paolino.

In Anacapri, in the area of Grotta Azzurra, there is this pleasant basin. Not suitable for children because it consists of rocks and rocks, despite the possibility of ladders for a more gradual access. The water is very clean and has often used the Blue Flag award. Reachable from the center of Anacapri with the bus service Grotta Azzurra that leaves from piazzetta Pace (cemetery).

On the western side of the island, instead, is located this fantastic basin, home to the second most important lighthouse in Italy. Even here the location is not very suitable for children, being rocks, but very popular with children and adults, because the sun lasts all day until sunset. Not to be missed an aperitif in one of the two bars present, you will be breathless in front of this scenario. Reachable from the center of Anacapri, from the stop piazzetta Pace (cemetery) with the bus line Faro.

On the south side of the island there are two other small public beaches, divided by the famous rock of the sirens. It will be like a dream to swim under the watchful eye of the Faraglioni. Even this bathing place is suitable for children, given the not immediately deep waters. It is advisable to get off before the rush hour, as the sun will soon go away even in the middle of summer. Reachable either on foot, with a pleasant walk through the stairs of via Mulo, or by bus service every 15 minutes. A tip, in the busiest months, would be to go back after 17.30 despite the sun has set, to avoid the crowds at both buses and taxis.
