Faraglioni

Right on the south-east side of the island are the three sea rock peaks, perhaps the most famous in the world: the Faraglioni, already known in the time of the poet Virgil in the Aeneid as Sirenum Scopuli.

The first, joined to the mainland, takes the name of Stella and reaches a height of 110 meters.

Right on its western side is the cave of the same name. Not far away stands the Faraglione di Mezzo, characterized by the famous cavity known to all. Fishermen and lovers. In fact, there is no human being in the world who, crossing the arch, has not at least once expressed his innermost desire

The last rocky promontory is called Faraglione di Fuori, or better known as Lo Scopolo.

The latter is also the place where the famous Blue Lizard lives, now one of the symbols of Capri which, with its intense color, blends perfectly with the vastness of the surrounding cobalt blue.
