Unusual Walks

Passetiello

The Passetiello route was born as an ancient mule track, a path useful for peasant hunters and “schiappaiuoli” (wood and bundle gatherers) who wanted to reach Monte Solaro from Capri.

This itinerary begins in Due Golfi (Capri), taking Via Torina behind the hospital. It is an uphill path, signposted and indicated on mountain routes, and requires some experience.

Precisely for this reason on the island there are trekking guides and associations ready to accompany you in case you are alone. Despite the slightly arduous climb, in the end you will be totally satisfied: the view from the summit will take your breath away and any effort will be immediately canceled. A detour to the Hermitage of Cetrella and its small church is almost obligatory, where you can enjoy panic peace in absolute silence.

On the way back there is the possibility to use the chairlift and get back to the center of Anacapri, or walk down the dirt path that leads to Viale Axel Munthe.
