Sentiero delle Calanche

Il Sentiero delle Calanche extends over an area of great environmental value, with particular native species of flora and fauna of the Mediterranean scrub.

Extending from the final part of Caterola, up to the Lo Capo area, it is assumed that it was an ancient access road to the Villa Jovis of the Emperor Tiberius.

aken from the villa, following the signs on the signs, the path will lead to Villa Lysis, the historic home of Count Jacques d’Adelswärd-Fersen. From here, through the lo Capo path, you will reach the sea, where you can enjoy an incredible sunset over Ischia.

The recovery of the Calanche path was financed with the POR Campania 2000/2006 funds, and is currently practicable without many di ffi culty.
