“Sea, music and champagne”: the “Bar Grotta Azzurra” celebrates in Marina Grande a great milestone with “de Venoge”

An important recognition for the Bar Grotta Azzurra has arrived. The bar and gourmet workshop born in the early ‘900 in Marina Grande has in fact joined the “Club des Princes“, the prestigious club created by the well-known manufacturer of champagne de Venoge. And, for the occasion, on Wednesday, August 23rd, at 21:30 at the bar Grotta Azzurra will celebrate this milestone with an event.

The members of the club des Princes are selected one by one each year for their successes in the gastronomic field, that is to have enriched their menu with dishes of high level, that represent the ideal accompaniment of the Champagne des Princes

The meeting between the bar Grotta Azzurra and de Venoge“, says the owner Adelmo Viva, “happened by chance. In 2018, the president of the Maison de Venoge was on holiday in Capri and we met at the bar table and we started talking about champagne; it was then that he asked me to put their brand on our menu.

Initially the collaboration was limited to the base products of their line of champagne, as those of the Prince Line are granted only to a limited selection of prestigious premises; until the long-awaited recognition arrived, and we had the honour to welcome in our gourmet cellar the products of the Prince Line, too“.

On Wednesday, August 23rd, Marina Grande will be animated by an event that recalls how the excellence of Capri can bring high the name of the island in the international scene. The evening will be punctuated by two distinct moments: a small dinner by invitation, with the presence of a delegation of de Venoge and other important personalities in the sector; and, to follow, the dj set of Gerry aka Tali Freaks and the Los Truffaldinos band, all accompanied, of course, by excellent champagne.

It will be a great celebration in which we will celebrate a very important goal for us“, comments Adelmo Viva, “together with our loyal customers but also with new people attracted by the presence of this exceptional partner that is de Venoge“. The port of Marina Grande will become the setting for a great event, which will show the potential of this beautiful corner of Capri, often not valued as it deserves.

Created in 1837 by Henri-Marc de Venoge, the eponymous company is one of the oldest Maison de Champagne today on the market. In 2018, R. Parker declared de Venoge Maison of the Year, rewarding its champagnes with very high scores. Its current location is the founder’s historic villa on Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
